Our Promise
Our promise is to offer a seamless PAR scoring service. You just need to post your patient’s models to us. We will send you the results back by the date you have requested, if not before. This will always be true, whether it’s for one or five hundred patients - we’re here to help.
What is PAR Scoring?
The Peer Assessed Rating (PAR) index is the most widely accepted system for analysing a patient’s orthodontic movement and how much they have progressed. The index is split into the following five categories: upper and lower anterior segments, left and right buccal occlusion, overjet, overbite/open bite and centreline. Within each of these categories the person scoring must attribute scores to various aspects of the patient’s dentition. Ideal positioning and alignment would result in a score of zero. Whereas crowding, spacing, poor interdigitation of upper and lower teeth, overjet, crossbite, overbite, open bite and misaligned centrelines could all result in a higher score. Dentists and orthodontists are required to submit 20 cases plus 10% of their remaining caseload per year for PAR scoring.
About Us
PAR scoring is often neglected due to more pressing matters within most practices or labs. We are dedicated to getting your PAR results back to you promptly. When you send us your patient’s models a fully qualified and calibrated technician will PAR score them and have the results back to you in no time. We are on hand to answer queries, whether it’s before, during or after we have received the models.
